Boston Rowing Club's Taster Day Success

Olympics truly are inspiring a generation already!!

Boston Rowing Club held an Adult Rowing Taster Day on Sunday, proving that the London Olympics 2012 are already inspiring a generation and starting to leave an Olympic Legacy. In fact the day was oversubscribed and an additional Free taster session has already been arranged for adults on Sunday 26th at 10am, and juniors aged 11years (year 7) to 17 years on Saturday 1st September at Boston Rowing Club (contact bostonrowingclub@gmail.com).

Rowing Club members arranged various types of sculling boats for people to try and demonstrated some of the skills required as well as the improved clubroom and gym/weight room facilities.

Nicola Housam BRC Explore Rowing Co-ordinator  said that interest via phone, email and websites has been phenomenal, whilst Sheli Scott (BRC) who assisted in organising the day said " the response has been fantastic, we have had over 20 adults, male and female from ages18 to over 60years trying out the sport today. Rowing has something for everyone, the fun and friendly atmosphere as well as some exercise thrown in of course. Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed it today and left with a smile on their face."
