The 2012 Celtic Challenge went ahead on 5th May. It was won by a Welsh team (Aberdyffi) in atrocious conditions, force 6 winds with wind chill down to minus 5c and 14ft swell. The winners completed the marathon row from Arklow to Aberystwyth in 17hrs 50. last team (St. Michaels) crossed the line in around the 27 hrs mark!

This was the largest entry ever with 22 teams starting and 11 finishing. It will next run again in 2014 so watch this space!
