International students get their first rowing experience at Grosvenor Rowing Club

A group of students from the International Residential School at St. Clare’s in Oxford recently spent a beautiful September day with Grosvenor Rowing Club learning to row using our new Explore Rowing boats. The students are studying for the International Bachelauriate and come from an array of countries including Armenia, Poland, Kazakstan, Germany, Russia and Brazil and had never rowed before. The students were “buzzing” after spending a day on the stunning River Dee which offers one of the most picturesque and uninterrupted stretches of rowable water in the whole of the UK. Such was the success of the day, the school are now keen to try and introduce rowing as an offered sport! It was so satisfying to see our new boats put to such good use.
