Yesterday Broxbourne oarsman Neil Aherne successfully completed his challenge to scull the length of Lake Geneva (~76km) on behalf of his chosen charity, St Mungos (providing a better life for London's homeless community).
Neil would like to say a big thank you to GB oarsman Zac Purchase for kindly lending him his Fluid Design boat which was excellent at cutting through the big waves on the lake, his support boat driver Nichol for fending off mad Geneva speed boat drivers, Broxbourne Rowing Club and City of Oxford Rowing Club for use of facilities and blades and all the people that have supported and sponsored Neil's challenge.
