"Row Hard for Neuro-disability" is a new fundraising event for rowing enthusiasts, city workers and those who want to try something new! On 15 September we invite you aboard HMS Belfast - London's magnificent WW2 warship - to row in teams of four over 2000m to raise money for a very worthy cause - the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. Overlooking Tower Bridge and London's skyline as the sun sets, there could be no better venue for a 'land-based' rowing challenge, and we encourage you to come along, take part, rub shoulders with Olympic rowers and to join us for the party afterwards! A cash bar will be available, and of course no fundraising event would be complete without a raffle, which has some great prizes up for grabs.
Registration is just £30, which includes your admittance on to the ship (normally £12.95) as well as a complimentary drink and some 'light bites' after the competition. This fee can be refunded if you reach our very realistic target of £150 for fundraising - something we are happy to help you with. (Plus, the highest fundraiser will win a signed t-shirt from the Olympic Rowing team!) Spectators too can come along for just £20.
Every penny raised will go towards providing the very best in assessment, care, therapy and treatment to over 240 profoundly neurologically disabled patients here at the RHN, all of whom have had their lives changed by one of any number of causes, from road traffic accidents to strokes or diseases.
