How do I sign up with Explore Rowing?
Signing up for an Explore Rowing user account is easy. All you need to do it click on ‘Register’ at the top right hand corner of this page. You’ll then be directed to a page where you can follow the simple instructions in order to get going.
Can I use my login details on the British Rowing website?
Yes you can. Once you have registered with either the Explore Rowing or the British Rowing website you can use the same details to log in for both of them.
I have forgotten my password in order to log in – how do I request a new one?
Don’t worry – all you have to do is click on ‘forgot password’ on the top right hand corner of the homepage.
I am interested in coaching or volunteering – where can I find some more information?
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in coaching and/or volunteering. For full details visit the British Rowing website
Clubs
How do I search for a club?
You can search for club in lots of different ways – by region, alphabetically, or by locating a club using our Google map. Visit our clubs page to find your preferred club.
Routes
How do I find or add a route?
There are lots of fun and varied routes for all ages and abilities to try. You can even add your own route for other people to try. All information on routes can be found on our routes page.
Challenges
What are the different types of challenges?
There are three main types of challenges which you can take part in:
- A goal challenge: this is a challenge where simply have to complete the goal – easy as that!
- A distance challenge: these challenges are those where you record how far you rowed.
- A time challenge: these challenges are those where you record how long the challenge took you. Remember though, it’s not always about racing as fast as you can. You can row as fast or slow as you wish as long as you enjoy it!
How do I add a challenge?
It’s very easy to add your own challenge – simply go to the challenges [link] page from the main menu and click on the button ‘Add a challenge’. There you can enter all the details including a description, images and even videos.
How do I enter a challenge?
Once you have arrived at the page of the specific challenge you’d like to have a go at, click on the button ‘Join this challenge’
Boats
What types of boats are there to use?
There are plenty of different boats which you can choose from to book for your outing. Boats are available to book from certain Explore Rowing accredited clubs.
I would like to book a boat – how can I do this?
To book a boat you must be:
- A current British Rowing member
- A member of an Explore Rowing Club
- Marked as competent by your home club (please contact your club to find out how)
