A lovely afternoon row up from the hustle and bustle of Oxford City Centre stopping off for lunch up in Godstow with time for a leisurely row back into town. Starting at any of the town clubs or college boathouses you can meander north out of Oxford through Osney Lock and up through Port Meadow. Stopping off at either the Perch or Trout Inn (picture in the main photo) provides a welcome pit stop before returning from where you started.

You will require an EA licence to row this route. You can get a good indicator of current river conditions from the OURCs website too: http://www.ourcs.org.uk/safety/rcond - the Isis is the stretch of the Thames from Osney Lock south towards Iffley Lock and the Godstow stretch is the part north of Osney Lock.
